The group’s object / purpose:
To support Christian values, family life, priests and the parish community
We are a national organisation. Local groups called Foundations exist in many parishes.
We have a varied programme of events including speakers, discussions, bible study and fund-raising for local and national charities. We enjoy social evenings, trips, visits and parties. Every year there are pilgrimages to Aylesford and Walsingham.
Welfare is very important. We keep in touch with members who are sick or housebound giving them friendship and practical support and pray for them at each meeting. In November Holy Mass is celebrated for all deceased members.
St Margaret Clitherow, a Catholic mother who was martyred for her faith, is our patron. We have a special devotion to Our Lady as wife and mother and at all our meetings we ask her to intercede for us.
All ladies in the parish are welcome to join us. Come and make new friends.
