End of Jubilee Year
6th December 2008. The closing mass of our Jubilee Year ended a 12 month period of much additional activity and celebrations. Throughout the year, we had held a flower festival, a concert, floodlit the front of the church, held a mission, a pilgrimage to Lourdes, to name but a few, so it was fitting to hold a celebratory mass on the nearest Saturday to the Feast of The Immaculate Conception to celebrate the 50 years of the fabric of the church building.
Bishop Paul celebrated mass, with Fr Anthony and Fr John as concelebrants. The party in the hall afterwards gave people the opportunity to chat and reminisce on a busy and fulfilling year.
