ReAct Family Fun Day
8th August 2010. Re:Act was back this year for the third year running and put on in the local community by the Churches Together in Surbiton, and is a great opportunity for the churches within Surbiton and Tolworth to come together and celebrate being part of a local community. For many years the churches in the Surbiton area have been actively cooperating and working together in a variety of ways, so that the Good News that God loves us all, may be shared with everybody.
Re:Act is all about fun and friendship. A group of young people from around the south of England have come together under the banner of Urban Saints as part of the Re:Act team to provide a day of fun for all the family. At the end of the afternoon, after a short break, there was an opportunity to come together and enjoy a ‘church outdoors’ presentation with song, dance, drama and a short talk.
We estimate that some 2,500 people attended during the afternoon, and around 300 stayed for church outdoors.
