South Indian Food & Cultural Evening

Parish Lenten Project

The latest event for the Parish Lenten Project was the Southern Indian Night held in the Parish Hall on Saturday 14th April. The Hall was packed and those attending were treated to a wonderful night of Southern Indian food and culture. The event was organised by around 20 families who provided a lavish buffet of Southern Indian food. The entertainment was nonstop from 7.30 – 10.00pm, with wonderful singing and typical dances from South India and a few just for fun!

Fr Biju Kocherinalpathil the Syro-Malabar Chaplin for the Southwark diocese attended, as did Fr Arbo who opened proceedings with a prayer as well as blessing the food.   The event goes from strength to strength and this year raised an impressive £2500 for the Lenten Project which is a great credit to the many families who helped make it so enjoyable & a great success.
